Looking for Submersible build help.

I am not very good at using the google doc on building subs so I thought it might just be better to ask here.

I am looking to build 2 types of sub but I am not sure what parts are best to use.

first sub is for bringing back stuff like kamatic ore. And the second is for looking for the rae items (wax, boule minions etc.)

I would appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Submarine Stats

Surveillance: Influences which items drop from the loot table per sector (Rarer items have minimum requirements). May also influence the discovery of new sectors.
Retrieval: Influences the extraction rate of a dropped item. Affected by weather effects.
Speed: Influences the duration of a voyage.
Range: Influences the distance a ship may travel during a voyage.
Favor: Influences the number of anomalies detected at a single destination. May also influence weather conditions encountered.

I am currently trying a S 85, R 100, Sp, 80 Rng 85, F 75 build.

I once got wax with a straight shark build S 30, R 110, Sp 110, Rng 70, F 70.

I'm not sure if those builds are ideal, but I'll just share the subs my FC is using for the tasks you describe - Shadygrove already gave a good explantions of the stats, but considering their suggested builds, I'd like to point out that you want Favour to be at 90 (at least that seems to be some sort of sweet spot)

To bring back not-so-rare-items like kamacite ore, I'd suggest a build that focusses on surveillance (so you'll be able to get the desired item) and retrieval (so you'll get more of the item.) The build we're using for that is:
Hull: Coelacanth
Stern: Syldra
Bow: Coelacanth
Bridge: Syldra

You could instead go for a surveillance, retrival and speed build, so you'll be able to send the subs out more often - personally I prefer to send them out every few days and be done with it, though. Our build for that:
Hull: Coelacanth
Stern: Shark
Bow: Syldra
Bridge: Coelacanth

...there are people out there who know a lot more about this than I do, so please take this with the grain of salt that I put them together during an afternoon a few months ago, got fed up with stats and cross-referncing during the way and finally just went with them. There might a lot better builds out there, but we've been happy with those so far.

For minions you want a surveillance of at least 170, is I recall correctly - we're using this build for that:
Hull: Coelacanth
Stern: Whale
Bow: Coelacanth
Bridge: Coelacanth

After looking at you replies and going though the big sub thread I think I that these subs are the best for ore and the otter minions and boules.

CCSyC 150/65/80/90/140
CUSyC 155/40/75/105/140

I just hope I am not over thinking this.
