Is the lobby server just overloaded or is there some other problem?

Pretty sure it's the maintenance.

Uh, everything's down for the 1.21 patch maintenance. Posted on the Lodestone and everything. They're scheduled to be down for another hour yet.

It's weird though, usually it says it's in maintenance in the message, not an error message.

Why is it letting us log in with our SE accounts then? Isn't it supposed to show a screen saying "Maintenance" in four languages when the game is down, instead of the logon prompt?

It hasn't done this for a few patches actually, dunno why, saves a lot of trouble lol.
