Where are all the "extra options" for the new races?

We were told that the new races would have more options to make up for not being able to wear helmets and some other face gear, But the beachmarks seems to show that they have less options than current races. Has the dev team mislead us yet again?

The devs never actually said that.

We were told that the new races had unique customisation features that meant the headgear wouldn't work, and that's true.

They never said we were getting more options. People just took it that way.
