Might Start Over

Ive been messing around with a few classes, but I think Archer/bard is where its at. My thing is, I was half asleep when I created the archer and he looks like a drunk Ringo. Theres also the XP incentive which wasnt active when i created him, so im thinking I wont be THAT far behind if I just restart.

Edit: Come to think of it, i only took Wildwood Elezen for the fluff, but Raen Au Ra would do just as well.

The XP incentive is a pretty big deal, and since you've already experienced the first bit, you should be able to plow through it very quickly. I would certainly advise starting over, especially if you're not fond of your character.

If you choose not to restart, then I will mention that there is a Lv50 Main Story quest that gives you a Fantasia if you would prefer to go that route to change your character's appearance.

Bard is super fun. Think it will be a good fit for you if you like running and killing. ;) lol

Reading between the lines so this could be wrong - but are you making a different character for each class? In ffxiv one character can learn all the classes.

They've got themselves registered as a level 11 archer so you're probably right.

OP: At level 15 main story quest, you get the world unlocked for you and I believe the level 15 job quest will also notify you that you can equip other weapons and become a new class at any instance of your own free will. Bear this in mind as well as utilizing that exp boost.

It's after the level 10 class quest of your starting class that you unlock the ability to add others. But reaching the Envoy quest at level 15 in the MSQ gives you access to all three of the starting cities, so there are more classes whose starting/unlocking point you can reach after that.

I’ve been sniffing around trying to see what I want to do as my main. I plan to do other classes down the line, but I wanted to dedicate myself to one thing first. Of course, after today’s Letter.... I was kind of banking on being able to buff my party.
