There are loads of favorite areas but since I'm in this area as reading the post I'll go with Azim Steppe:

Also has a killer night sky view when it is night, which isn't for me right now lol :P.
Love FF environments and to me one of my favorite "characters" of the series. Probably a pipe dream and I realize it's a pain to do but in their next MMO I'd love for an open open world (no loading between zones). Though I'll live if not, so long as they keep looking so pretty :D.

Night time in Silvertear in Mor Dhona, when the crystals are glowing. It's eerie and beautiful.

Those areas are beautiful! Fishing has really got me to appreciate the variety of environments in this game!
