A Little Question

I got in contact with a GM earlier, and they left before I could ask my question, but I feel like an answer to my question might benefit not just myself, but maybe the GMs as well, depending on the answer. So here it is:

If, in instances where multiple people were affected by a single person with actions that that group feel deserve something such as a harassment report, is it better for one of the group to make the report and to mention the others so that a GM could contact them, or is it better to make multiple reports about the same instance?

The GM that got in contact with myself is different than the GM that got in contact with the other person that sent in a report, and I can only imagine that two reports about the same instance resulting in two different GMs means that one instance made twice the work. Neither the other reporter or myself have ever reported anyone before, so we were unsure on my question, and if, in the future, it would actually be better to have only one of use report, he and I would love to help the GMs and support team by cutting down on the clutter.
