Survival Manual Timers in real time or game play time?

Hi all my quick question is in the title. Does the timer go in real time or in game time. Wondering if I log out before I hit my exp cap or timer expiration does it keep going, or can I log in some time later and have it continue?

Buff (and debuff) timers most definitely continue ticking even if you have logged off. So sadly, you won't be able to save that last 10k of boosted exp for your next login.

Thanks for the quick response! I activated my first time a minute ago then remembered I was gonna do it later when I logged back in, oh well I'll grind it out earlier than I anticipated haha.
