What are these accounts?

I've been seeing these characters often dressed up like gnomes and they have seemingly scrambled names, not like mine, and all they do is stand completely still and just warp around. They don't do the floating up in the air animation and teleport. Their characters just disappear one after the other. They show up, somehow turn in a quest, all level up at the same time, and then just disappear. Or they'll randomly appear in front of a crystal and synchronize with it and then disappear one after the other without doing the floaty animation. I can only assume that these are automated accounts but it's kind of creepy. Like, why dress up as gnomes of all things? And what's the point of whatever it is that they're doing?

Those are bots. Sadly.

Sometimes they just pack there and suddenly disappear. Sometimes they are stuck in a FC chest. And sometimes they botter you while doing your quests (was on my alt the other day and I couldn't kill the monsters I had to because a few black mage bots were killing them all again and again with suspiciously quick Fires -like no cooldowns at all- and they were floating in the air basically).

The only thing that can be done is report them.

All you need is a GM standing guard at every aetheryte plaza and shooting on sight. They are rampant.
