1 Coin from the coinciding 24 man raid for the item to upgrade tomestone gear

Someone made mention of this in one of my post & I have always wondered WHY can there be 1 coin used from the coinciding 24 man alliance to purchase the items to upgrade my weapon/gear/accessories.

OMEGA RAID
Deltascape - Rabanastre - Rabanstran Coin - purchase Upgrade items Creation Tomes
Sigmascape - Lighthouse - Gougan Coin - purchase Upgrade items Menancity Tomes
Alphascape - Monastery - Mullondeis Coin - purchase Upgrade items Genesis Tomes

Why not just use the Gougan Coin for the Menancity Tomes upgrade items upgrade items to use to upgrade that set of weapon/gear/accessories; just use the Mullondeis for the Genesis Tomes upgrade items to use upgrade that set of weapon/gear/accessories.

I know I'm new to raiding but DAMN...to do the previous two 24 man alliance & then the present one to collect all 3 coins for the items to upgrade the Genesis Tomestones is just too much...at least for me. Use my time else where.

If players like the previous 24 man raids there is the duty finder, the alliance roulette.

It's to keep the older raids as populated as possible. The older ones also get faster as we get stronger so, it's not so bad imo.

For 1 it keeps the old raids populated, 2 you are getting basically a free upgrade without having to do savage, which requires skill. It's not even that time consuming to do all 3. Especially if you aren't joining in for the final one and have been doing them for a couple years. I had something like 30 rabanastre coins and 20 lighthouse coins when orbonne released.


Also, in the beginning you only get 1 coin a week. They just unlocked orbonne so you get them every run.

I just with weekly genesis was capped at 1000 and not 900. No cap at this time in the game would be better but still 1000/week would be ok. You could at least finish an ilvl 400 weapon for all your classes before the xpac in 2 months from now.

That's the thing, ilvl 400 wouldn't be necessary to even start the new expac and no one is going to be using every single job once it drops, they would likely stick to between 1-3 jobs and new duties would drop stuff as well. 380/390 is more than sufficient for the expansion, plus the Ivalice coins would no doubt take the Void Ark route and be purchasable with Poetics so not really needed to amend Genesis limit at this time.

It isn't even that bad to run all three. Cid in Orbonne is still causing vote abandons, but the other two are zergfests now. Like Valkyrie mentioned for her character, those who have not arrived late to these raids are very likely sitting on an abundance of Raba and Goug coins, and only need to run Orbonne if they are not savage runners to finalize their gear.

The devs still want players to run these things, and they also want to provide incentive to run savage. You're basically asking them to kill content and that just isn't going to fly.
