Are Aurum Vale runs still a thing?

I remember people used to do the first part of the dungeon for EXP. Is that still a thing?

I'm sure you could create a PF and specify that that is what you wanna do.

Generally in Duty Finder runs, people go through that dungeon attacking the least amount of mobs as possible.

I'm not sure, but I tend to run Aurum Vale with my AI squadron now with the "Ala Mhigan Earrings" equipped and "Squadron Battle Manual" turned on. I gain over 600K-800K experience in less than 30 minutes (the latter occurs if I have rested bonus on the whole run).

A long time ago, SE shifted a lot of the exp from mob kills to boss mobs. This mostly ended pre-first-boss pulls in AV, Darkhold, etc.

If you want quick exp, spam potd 51~60, and then hoh when you're level 60+. Once you've cleared out your daily roulette bonuses, there's no other method faster than this currently - at least to my knowledge.

AV runs now days tend to mostly be for Glower from the second boss.

Technically, spamming the highest level dungeon you can queue for is faster, if you can get quick parties.

I.e. If you're a Tank/Healer job or if you're in a preformed party with a Tank/Healer (Or ideally, a full 4 man party so you don't have to deal with RNG matching you with idiots in DF...)

Especially if you stack exp bonuses - Such as Aetheryte Earrings, FC buff, Squadron Manual, Food buff...

Deep Dungeon spam is only faster for DPS jobs that are solo queuing because "dem queues tho"...

As far as OP is concerned:

To my knowledge, AV pre-boss farm is not a thing so much these days. Though it is still a significant amount of experience, I know when I was running it with Squadrons I used to get a brunt of my experience gain from the dungeon in that first area (Also, I noted that when clearing, letting the Seedlings spawn gives 10x more experience than killing the pods and it's not like the Seedlings are actually dangerous outside of the final boss when they stack the debuff on hit)

At best, the only AV farm that happens these days, is BLU parties to try and learn Glower from Coincounter, since the first boss isn't soloable by BLU (At least not one that hasn't obtained Glower yet and so accessed the Masked Carnivale to get Doom... I haven't checked if the first boss can be insta-killed)

Just do roulletes xD. By the time you finish them, it's bed time anyways.
