Commending DPS
I've seen posts in Reddit an these forums of DPS players claiming they would usually or always commend the other dps. However, when I tank or heal, I usually get more than one commendation. So that leaves one dps without a commendation, especially during times when all party members have contributed to exceptionally wonderful dungeon/trial runs.
So I present this question to you, especially DPS mains:
What conditions would you normally commend other DPS players after you clear the instance?

Regardless of what role I am, I'll usually commend a DPS if I notice them doing something they're supposed to do (which is rare, I assure you) or the fact that I didn't notice them at all, telling me they did nothing wrong. Unfortunately, I hardly ever get commendations as a DPS, and usually only in duties where I say something (whether it's nice or not), probably because they liked my name.

If the tank and healer didn't earn it. If the tank is pulling everything and is doing proper rotations while in DPS stance on bosses while maintaining aggro, or if the healer is a green DPS, it can't go to DPS as the other two are performing their roles and dealing high damage while on roles that help with queues.

I see dps use goad, i see dps use tactician/refresh, i see dps do really well with mechanics, aoe everything down with me.
Basically, if i see a dps try really hard they get my commend, i actually do get a lot as a brd too so it does happen!
And with all that i don't mean them do godlike dps, just... use everything they have when it's actually useful.
Like... not getting goaded as a sam when you're the only of the 2 dps aoeing... feels really bleh

The dps I commend:
-Mch/bards who use palisade/tact/refresh
-People who mana shift/goad
-Rdm/sum who’ll raise for the healer
-Ninjas who use their aggro tools
-Big dps who use diversion(can you tell I main tank?)
-The nice players. I’ll even commendate the silent players if the other 2 are just jerks.
I don’t care if your dps is low or high. If you help out your other party members instead of tunneling, I’ll comm. you.

Unless someone did something that could be considered heroic (healer saving the run with an LB3, dps finishing a fight alone, etc) or if someone was especially likeable regardless of their role, I will usually just choose a random dps to give my commendation to. If the run was unnecessarily rough though and I liked no one I will just leave without giving it to anyone.

1. If I notice a bard aoeing and hooking me and tanky up with Refresh and Tactician respectfully.
2. If the Tank was just awful in aggro management, usually I'll give it to a DPS that stayed out of bad circles.
3. If the DPS is the only one's left around
4. If I like their name.
5. If I like their glam.
6. If I like their glam.
7. If it's obvious that they're new but they still tried, I'll commend them.
8. Eeny meeny miny moe (A fast version of this mind you). Not even kidding.

Typically, if the tank or other healer didn't earn a commendation from me, I'll consider a dps that either was positively noteworthy, or not noteworthy at all. I typically don't look at dps unless they're doing something very obviously wrong.
In PvP it's a bit easier to see an outstanding dps, so they get my commendations more often there.

Mana shift, goad, rez RDM and SMN
But i ussually give it to tank or healer, because most dps didnt play things right.
