I feel like world visit is negatively impacting communities.

Every day I used to log in and out of Uldah on Balmung. Yeah, it was highly populated, but the chat wasn't nearly as fast, and the streets weren't nearly as populated as they are now.

Sometimes when I was bored, I would come in and just talk. I knew pretty much everybody, but now its not so easy. You can't even see how many people are really there, because too many people are loading everywhere. You can't chat easily because it scrolls down too far. I feel lost in a crowd.

The chat is also filthy. Filthier than Balmung Uldah used to be. At least back then it was in good fun. I feel like all the stereotypes about Balmung are over exaggerated, but now that world visit is here, people are coming in with them, and making it a reality. It feels like Goldshire 2.0.

I absolutely feel overwhelmed, and I hope that things calm down. This does not feel like the server I know anymore at all. I hope that in time things will settle down.

Balmung is a "erp meme" server. Of course it's gonna turn into Goldshire 2.0. It'll settle down but it'll never be what it was for you guys.

Goldshire??? It was barrens chat that was an outhouse....

Man, those were the days.

Yeah the lewd chat in cities is absolutely nuts. If people want to talk dirty do that in private chat.

How so? I think it's fantastic. There are so many people joining in every single day! I was getting a bit bored of how stale the server was since it was completely locked. Now I get to meet new people, organize new things and experience something the game has been missing for years!

Remember when people wanted balmung unlocked? When people wanted fresh blood on the server? Pepperidge farm remembers.

Whenever someone asks about ERP, we just direct them to Balmung. Good luck with the incoming flux.

It's uh...it's gotten a bit weird right now. I feel like it's just because I haven't adjusted to it yet. The one thing I will admit that gets me weirded out are the constant teleports and/or noises, especially if you reside mostly in limsa. Also, I really really wish we had access to our home world LS. Maybe that'll be a QoL they'll add later.

I feel like things will eventually mellow out though. Right now, it just seems like everyone's super hyper, which leads to people saying things in chat that might make either hold their sides in laughter or scrub their eyes with sandpaper.

Itll settle down in a little bit once the novelty wears off, theres too much good stuff from world visit to take it away because people are nasty.
