Balmung is open!

Thank you for opening Balmung, SE! I've been trying to add friends to this server for a long time. I hope it stays like that for a long time! : )

With the world visit system, the "population" issue is essentially solved.
Being on the big servers now is like living in the big city instead of the countryside. Rather than the walled-garden situation it was previously.
So folks can have their houses in the suburbs/countryside, but come to the capital city to socialize if they want.

Of course, this is until they put servers as congested again (I really hope they don't) and said servers can't be visited.

We'll have to see how the system affects balmung in the long run, I know it had 3k+ queues that took several hours to get through at SB launch but that died down eventually. Hopefully they don't need to, but if people keep pilign into balmung and most don't go to other worlds when traffic is high they may end up needing to again.

Honestly I have a feeling many people are going to go to other Crystal servers now that they can visit wherever they want. Even if Balmung gets closed we can all just hop to another server to visit which likely is going to outright mitigate the issue of overcrowding going forward. No real need to be on Balmung anymore to hang out with the people there unless you're dying to be in a specific FC. I am kiiiiiiinda sad we're going to get flooded with bots now however. I rather liked not seeing them.

That is like one of the only things I am afraid of is that and the damn gold sellers. I remember when I first started playing and having endless tells from gold sellers. They were all but gone when I came to Balmung. XD

Weeeeell Balmung is at least still soft locked, so that should hopefully limit that somewhat, like anyone else bots will only probably be able to be created early in the morning.

Will they ever add new housing areas? I haven't played in a while.

I don't have a problem with them adding more but considering the fact that people keep flocking to that dang server they will never be able to keep up with the demand there.

*Sighs* Yeah... this server is way too popular! I do not mind bringing friends in for the social component, but it seems everyone is in the same situation concerning population increase/demand.
