[Request] Sensible System for Relic Glow, Mounts, and Preferred Colors
Glow Colors & Mount Colors Simplified
Suggestion for glows, weapons, vehicles, and more.
Issue: Colors chosen for glow are not customizable (Eureka gear glow only one color, ie all tanks must be traffic yellow)
Limitation: Too much data to change color glow per character.
Limitation: TOO MUCH work for designers to make every dye-able color as glow
Limitation: Mounts can't be dyed by system limitations
Proposed Resolution:
ACCOUNT-BASED option of six (AND ONLY SIX) individual system colors.
Default Red
Default Orange
Default Yellow
Default Green
Default Blue
Default Purple
(ALSO ONE "DEFAULT" PRESET COLOR, IF APPLICABLE)
For the time being, let's call this system "Preferred Color".
- Only ONE color, account based across all characters.
- Color can be changed at any time via NPC or System settings.
- Game pulls from color preference to determine glow of relic weapon, relic gear, special mounts (Regalia, for instance) for new (or existing) gear. This color could be utilized for virtually anything that cannot currently be dyed.
Benefits:
- Eliminates complaints of glow colors of weapons
- Eliminates complaints of glow colors of armor
- Eliminates complaints of Regalia and other mounts not being dye-able
- Allows further color customization for items
- Reduces workload of developers by limiting to only 6 options, not dye-shade options.
- Reduces memory needed by only a single digit of six options for zones.
- Will not be as difficult or stressful to the server by maintaining only 6 options.
