I'm not sure how many people know of this endangered green flightless parrot (less than 150 adults exist), but they breed once every 4/5 years and this year was a record breeding season.
I wondered if FFXIV would release a Kakapo minion to celebrate? Would other players want a minion like this too?
Perhaps it could be a mogstation item with a donation to the Kakapo Recovery project?
