New player, Which expansion to buy?

Not sure this is right forum to ask this.

So I bought the basic game to give it a try. Now I’m thinking I’ll be playing this for a while. So the question is.

If I buy shadowbringers..do I get the other expansion content too?

Also if I buy shadowbringers (though it’s not out yet) now... can i access prior expansion content now?

Unfortunately, buying Shadowbringers right now will only give you access to the other expansions when Shadowbringers is released.

I see this question a lot. I think they should give you access to the earlier expansions right away if you choose the Pay Now option.

If you get stormblood pack you get access to heavensward. My guess is there will be a pack for shadowbringers once it releases.

Yeah, every expansion includes the previous expansions. But a lot of people are in this place right now where they're just hitting level 50, and they basically have to decide whether to buy Stormblood now and then buy Shadowbringers so soon thereafter, essentially paying twice for the same content, or take a couple of months off so they only have to buy one pack.
