Long Lost

Hey Gilgamesh, this is a strange question but is there any way to contact/befriend someone you used to play with if you're not on their server anymore? I wont put their name here because its against the forum rules I'm pretty sure but... before I quit early in SB I did the free Xfer thing to Goblin to get a free 2 seater chocobo. It's been over a year and I'm back now, trying to find old friends. Is there any other way besides logging into gilga on a level 1 toon every once in a while to search them up?

Not really at the moment, unless you put something in party finder and wait for them to see their name or something. Once you interact with them you're able to whisper them/join a LS together. You could always try to find them on the lodestone, see if they're even on Gilgamesh anymore. When 4.57 hits, the data centers are getting split up and the world visit system goes live, but that's limited to servers in whatever data center you reside in.

Thank you Badawin :) I suppose I'll just keep searching every once in a while or check out that world visit when it goes live :). Someone told me transfers will be free on Tuesdays when the merge happens?

If I'm understanding this right you want to find a friend that you can't see in your friendlist due to the transfer?
If you didn't remove them from your FL going back to the same server will make them available again or you should be able to see them in your lodestone account as there you can find the list of all your friends, FC and LS members. You can even follow players to see their activities.

There's a Character Search function on The Lodestone. Try looking him up there; that might give you some clues to help you find him in-game.
