trying to get new bless fishing rod....?

... which require to catch 780 different fish

does the normal fish is enough for that archivement or i have to after rare fish as well

and how many gathering require to catch folklore fish in SB, i have 1146 gathering but some fish said that i dont have enough gathering to catch them

At the time the achievement was added, you needed to catch every fish, big fish, and legendary big fish in the game, plus a few of the 15 new big fish added that patch. Only 6 legendary big fish have been added since then, so you still basically need to catch everything but a few big fish. The newest big fish require at least 1300 Gathering or so, and around 1150 Perception (for mooching) to catch.

thank for the info, i think i will get some crafted accessories to meld some materia into it for some extra gathering and perception, since i'm using landking stuff right now, and crafted accessories kind of cheap in our server MB

I notice when i spearfishing that there are somekind of unspoil node active when you catch certain number of one fish, fish in these unspoil node doesnt show up in fishing log, but it's does count toward fishing guide and the progress of archivement

Does that mean fish in dialem also count? I saw a log of them on ff14angler but i dont see fishing log for then so i assuned that they doesnt count and ignored them

The fish that are exclusive to the special nodes for spearfishing are in the fishing log, they just don't show up on the map guide that displays where the holes are and what fish you've caught there. Diadem-exclusive fish are not in the fishing log at all, and do not count. Quest specific fish like the job quest fish and Namazu quest fish also do not show up in the log and do not count towards the achievement. Basically any fish that has an entry in the log counts, any fish that doesn't have an entry, doesn't count. Just fill out them ?'s.
