Monk - Dragon Stance - claw weapons transform into nunchuku. can use normal abilities with nunchukus however while in dragon stance you learn can use new abilities as 4th ability to your 1-2-3 combos

Ninja - transfroms their daggers into kusarigama this is devestating ninja weapon. giving ninja amazing range and aoe techinues. those who dont know what this weapon is. why its Ninja weapon why it should be a skill

weapon transformations only last for small duration but while they active their they do devestating damage the aoe the acrobatics ability to throw either spear or kama. pull enemies towards you like scorpain does normal combat. would be awesome see on ninja in ff14

I can go in large lenghs why Kusarigama is better ninja weapon then twin-daggers. mostly cause of massive versatility. giving more acrobatic like movements massive cleave it offered. weapon was light it was ferce you. chain attached kama to the chain could be used choke the life . blunted or spear like end could be used as throwing projectile watch could impale itself in limbs or making them lose balance. the blade kama used as finisher tool of blocking and assassination

weapon was made for assassination, every party of weapon was lethal. sense be nice add more throwing opinions and brutality to the ninja kit. this was indeed a brutal top teir ninja weapon. mix that ninja's ability roll and acrobaticly move causing massive aoe time damage by having blade or spear swirl around ninja hard even get close without taking a beating. thats when i thought. hey maybe ninjas ff14 could use weapon like this maybe perform a ninjustu change their weapons into kusarigama for short period of time. give them fast paced ultra combo like aoe attacks weapon rolation would be cool to have

then thought monks get on this too. cause nunchukus are in fact monks weapon. in final fantasy 1. but only pull them out for short period of time too. have that bruce-lee type feel when go into dragon stance "wwwoaoaoaah" youknow

I can only speak for me as a MNK but i am not convinced. While it sounds interesting as concept im not too fond of the idea, it just seems off, somehow the nunchaku doenst fit (for me) with ff14 Monk, it actually feels out of place. I mean why would it even be there?(lore wise). Besides as a mechanical idea its just a copy of DRG move set... kind of. So it would be the new FoF and a weird one at that, why would a single target DPS would want aoe? One of the complains of MNK is that it is skill bloated (im sure most clases are in a similar position)an example is Arm of the destroyer (an aoe GCD) being kind of useless, so why would any monk want an aoe skill if its trying to get rid of one? Hope fully they remove stances as well, there is simply no point in them. So why would they add yet another one?

most martial arts movies nunchuku martial artists uses like bruce-lee he has a-lot famous scenes where he pull out single or double pair of nunchuku. take out large group of enemies . however still uses martial arts. mechanically what could happen is that turn your normal single target rotation into aoe one sort duration while its active watch wouldn't button bloat but it would give monk better aoe opinions. idea is out their. nunchukes apart of final fantasy history maybe not so much. also have thing about how hard it would to animation more acrobatic approuch to dps constantly whipping twirling rapid pace of dps.

why think it fits with monk cause in reallife nunchuku are like extentation of self. energy can flow throw them at very end of nunchukes tip where ki is released.so can see the monk using their energy throw them channeling whatever energy they use. master of nunchukes uses such speed what makes them deadly weapon. only class see using them if ever did add them to ff14 is monk. that being said a bo staff is just as effective however idea one weapon per job. dont really agree with. would like see more weapons added to current jobs. even if it has to be a skill and a limited duration

if ever seen bruce-lee do its nunchukes what i wouldn't give see lalafel do something like that pair mogchuks

NIN daggers build off of the rogue class, rogues typically use daggers as weapons, so that's most likely why they use daggers, it's an extension of their class, why Paladins use swords and shields - because Gladiators used them. Paladins would most likely be capable of using other weapons at their disposal, but stuck with sword and board because they already used them as GLA.

Monks use fists, not actual physical weapons. That's why their main arm is a fist weapon, because it emphasizes punching and fists over using an actual weapon like a Nunchuk or bo staff or something like that. Again, a Pugilist is someone who uses fists as a weapon.

Monks punch and kick. They don't do bruce lee stuff from movies (why do you even think that something should be in mmorpg if it was in some movie?). In most of original games their punches and kicks did more damage than with weapon.

You do realize how insane this request is right? This would require two forms for *every pugulist/monk and rogue/ninja arm post Lv 26 in the entire game* Do you have any idea how much work that would entail, with just making the swapping mechanics? and not even considering the animations and new weapon skills they'd need?

I actually would like to see monks weapon changed from gauntlets to Bo staff
It's quite noticeable how with each weapon they struggle to make something unique

just like the tonfa weapon they added recently, i wouldnt be surprised if we saw a nunchaku weapon at some point with some neat draw animation, issue is weapons dont have 'attack' animations beyond the player attacking with it, so you wont be getting anything remotely close to bruce lees epic ability to not thwack himself in the crotch with those

as for ninja, could see dual kama with a 'chain' connecting them (could use the bonewicca cast top for reference), but in both these instances, changing the players weapons via a stance would be a large amount of back end, art dept, and animation work for a very small payoff, itd be a bigger return if on a future expac they revisit all the classes animations and tweak/update the animations to give them more options going forward, potential downfall to this is people are used to the existing animations so if you change too much itll throw people off for a while, so they have to strike a delicate balance in their changes
