Free Transfer question

Im planning on transferring servers to exchange my house for the Gil Square is offering. But I've got some concerns about the transfer was wondering if anyone could answer em.

1)What happens to my married status and items if I transfer and my partner dosnt? (I do plan on returning to my orginal server after, but don't wanna mess anything up)

2)Were normally requires to demolish our houses, but im assuming you don't if you want the refund and 3m gil? What will happen to all my items since your suppose recover them before transferring?

3) Will my friends list still be wiped if i transfer back? Or will it restore itself after i return?

4) As long as i go to a non-congested, Non-New, an Non-Perfered server i can return in 3days?

Probably have a few more but that's main concerns for now

2) Retrieve all items that you can. The refund is to reimburse items that you can't.

4) Yes, as long as your original server doesn't get congested in the meantime.

(Seems like a lot of effort for some extra gil, but whatever.)

I'll just piggyback off this thread: Does anyone know what happens to mail that I sent but hasn't been opened yet? Does the recipient still receive it when I transfer servers?

You should stay married to the player regardless of your world until you actually annual the arrangement by turning in the ring. Any other items are kept as well, though the ring info might say Obtaining Signature (your partner's name) on a different world.

The friends list should stay if you turn back to the previous world, so as long as you don't delete any which are Unable to Retrieve then you should be fine, but perhaps this will be updated to always show your friends in the list (on same datacentre) because of the cross world visits.

Thanks, an yeah I can see that, but that 3m gil should boost me up enough to upgrade from a small house to a medium, or hold off long enough to save for a large. If/When we get Ishgard housing.

If all you are missing is 3mil, just do some roulettes every day for a few weeks. You get a crapton of gil from them lol, especially as adv in need.

No reason to not do both, stacking up some Gil will help me in the long run no matter where it comes from.. By true means of course..
I'm also leveling crafter an gathers and selling my extra items as a way to supplement my earnings too

In regards to this: I would strongly advice you to NOT transfer and keep the house, since this will allow you to relocate to any open plot which ignores the RNG-timer placed on plots. Its much, much easier to get a (better) house when you already have one! You'll also get a discount on any larger house you purchase if you relocate - "When purchasing a plot for relocation, 30% of the minimum value of your old plot will be applied towards the price of the new one." This might not be much in regards to a small house (~300k), but honestly: Neither are 3 million.

You already have a foot in the door of the housing-game, which is worth a lot more than 3 million gil! If getting money to upgrade your house is the only reason for you to transfer, I would strongely suggest against it.
Getting gil is easy.
Getting a house isnt.

Even if your server has a lot of empty plots right now with the free transfer people might just come over and buy those up, so you could end up with 3 million gil more but no home at all in the end.

Also u don't just get to swap right back, your stuck on ur new server for a while. Just make money a different way
