Bunch of words:

Raid Busters, once Kopi C Siew Dai, is a group of people from SEA, predominantly Singapore, who enjoy the small things in life...Such as a nice cup of coffee... before your loved ones plug out the modem for your internet! Thus earning the title... Raid buster...

We are largely made up of very calm and peaceful group of people who are a casual bunch just like the uncles you see at the hawker centre. Just sitting back and enjoying life. If you are looking for a quiet time through your Final Fantasy life, you can drop by our table and have a drink with us to relax.

I know ah, Singaporean must list out benefits right? Ok lor, here is what we have.

1) A very self-conflicting name
-(Kopi C = Coffee With Sugar/Sweetener. Siew Dai = Less Sugar, don't ever order like this)
2) People who are addicted to FF just like their coffee
3) No drama/Nonsense or the management will throw you out (Not cheap hor)
4) No Service charge or GST
5) No need to return cup after drinking

Ok bah, jokes aside:

1) A group of people who login after their daily work to enjoy a nice time with others
2) Largely made up of adults either working or studying in tertiary education
3) Nice and peaceful guild
4) Very extreme sleep cycles (Who doesn't in this day and age)
5) Mansion

Thus, whether you are from this tiny island that held the famous meeting, or from our brothers across the causeway, or from the nearby asian countries, or simply just want a place to relax and escape from the daily grind of reality, you can just stop by. We are not a raiding group, we are not the most hardcore or dedicated guild you will find, we are just a group of people sitting ontop of red plastic chairs drinking coffee from a small glass mug. Only to find out that we didn't win TOTO (lucky draw) again when the results come out. We are just ordinary people.

Tldr: Coffee group looking for people to chill with. Nothing too hardcore or serious. Even if you don't drink coffee it's alright. Whether you drink Gongcha or Kopi O, you can drop by our table.

FAQ:

1) Why is the post worded in such a manner?
A: It is done so as both an invitation and a deterrent, many forum FC posts throughout FF and gaming in general will tend to be professionally polite and mature without divulging the type/dynamics of the guild you are about to join.
What you see above is an easy indication of whether or not you may find the guild fun, if you like the light-heartedness of the post, then you will easily be able to mix with us! If you dislike the post and wish for something more serious/structure-based then we are not the right guild to cater to you.

2) When are you guys most active?
A: We operate around mainly GMT+8 Timezone of Singapore, most of us are working adults or schooling so we are active during the night and weekends!

3) Are there cliques within the FC?
A: No there are not. Everyone and anyone within the confines of the FC are friendly, interacting and helping each other when they need it. There are no socially 'exclusive' groups, you may get that at your workplace, but here we are all just enjoying the game after the daily grind.

4) Do you guys do Savage Raids?
A: Not exactly. Some of the older players including myself have retired from savage after the previous iteration. (Being around since FF started makes you grow tired of raiding)

However, our more youthful players are raiding albeit currently waiting for Shadowbringers.

5) What do you do if you don't raid?
A: Mostly enter FF to do some crafting, decorate the house more and enjoy time with other players!

6) Where is the mansion located?
A: Mist Ward 15, Plot 45.

7) Why is there empty rooms?
A: Hitting 400/400 item limit...

8) Will this FAQ be updated?
A: Yes, depending on if we get more frequent questions from prospective newcomers.

The sky pours over the old cafe.

The old man sitting by the window on his old elk wood chair, staring out into the sky admiring the time that had passed.

It almost seemed like a distant memory, the nostalgic times where he stared out the same window as a child.

'Some things never change' he thought.

Pondering in deep thought as the scent of caffeine filled the air.

The rain poured relentlessly, making it difficult to make out anybody around.

Nonetheless, he could spot the silhouette of the young boy off in the distant across the street.

His tiny legs carrying him as he hops across the road in the rain, his yellow plastic poncho shielding him from the weather, albeit poorly.

The old man smiled at the child, turning his head towards the road direction as the young boy made his way to the cafe, making sure the road was clear.

The boy hopped enthusiastically to the cafe, opening the door , causing the bells to ring.

Dripping wet all over, the boy took off his poncho and tip-toed up towards the basket by the door.

Narrowly managing to grab the edge before tossing the wet plastic rain coat into it.

He stumbles towards the old man, before being lifted up.

"Gong gong what are you drinking? It smells funny."

The old man looks at the child, before lifting up his cup.

"Ah.. It's Kopi O Kosong. Would you like a sip?"

The bells churn and ring across the entire chapel.

The sense of celebration is in the air as the bride and groom step forward towards the altar.

Despite the on-goings of the calamity that approaches, they were happy to know that there is still a brief moment of peace and relaxation.

A chance to be happy in a chaotic world filled with endless conflict with the Garlean Empire.

Emma and Jonar stare at the altar, with glimmer in their eyes as the day finally arrived.

If not for the wedding, but for the rewards that come with it.

By the sides of the pathway, rows of chairs lined the church, it's pristine white marble flooring and stained glass windows that towered over.

The guild members seated on the neatly arranged chairs as they shower gold and money onto the couple when they passed by.

By the altar, the two exchanged rings before angelic wings emerge from their backs, lifting them high above the altar to exchange a kiss, sealing the deal.

As the ceremony reaches it's conclusions, the group takes a snapshot, a memory of the happy moments they were able to attain.

Before the next calamity hits, before the Garlean empire strikes, before our heroes begin to be called forth to another land.

However short and bitter-sweet the moment was, it was still a moment in time where everyone was happy.

Others often see the beauty in time, a long string in time that stretches far beyond any person's comprehension.

The clocked ticked, the minute hand struck.

The vigorous vibration of the tables as black led skidded across the piece of paper.

"You have only 10 minutes left"

The dreaded announcer says, his voice echoing throughout the examination hall.

The sound of writing grew louder as time passed by, like a choir trying to skip the notes as the instructor sped up.

"Time's up. Put down your pens!"

Everybody doing as instructed, several loud sighs heard throughout the examination hall.

Waking up, the students pulled out the cords from their necks. The electricity crackles out in the air.

"Man, that was intense!! Can't believe we use to do that!"

An elderly man was sitting alone on a dark path. He wasn't sure of which direction to go, and he'd forgotten both where he was traveling to...and who he was. He remembered absolutely nothing. He suddenly looked up to see an elderly woman before him.

She grinned toothlessly and with a cackle, spoke: "Now your third wish. What will it be?"

"Third wish?" The man was baffled. "How can it be a third wish if I haven’t had a first and second wish?"

"You’ve had two wishes already," the hag said, "but your second wish was for you to forget everything you know." She cackled at the poor man. "So it is that you have one wish left."

"All right," he said hesitantly, "I don't believe this, but there's no harm in trying. I wish to know who I truly am."

"Funny," said the old woman as she granted his wish and disappeared forever. "That was your first wish..."

The dark thunder roars through the night as the men on the tiny island wake up to see.

The dazzling display of mother nature's power was on a full show for them, it was nothing the men had ever encountered on the island.

The washed out night was filled with lightning every few seconds that brought them into a surreal world, their minds racing with possibilities of the future.

Until they realized it was 3.a.m. and they needed to get back to work tomorrow.

It was another stormy night in Singapore with one of the worse thunderstorms to date.

“Come on, crew!” the foreman in the red cap shouted. “Tap out time, let’s go!”

Russ and the other tired, sweaty men of Crew 57 heaved their bags of trash into a battered roll-on container and filed past the foreman. A cheery digital tone bubbled up from his tablet as each passing man tapped it with his work bracelet.

“Keep it moving, crew,” the security lead said as the men began their walk back to camp. “Everyone together, safety in numbers, comprendes?”

“Who’d want to wander off here?” asked the new guy, Larry. “Nothin’ but cracked asphalt and scrub brush, man.”

“I think it’s more about the townies,” Russ replied, pointing to a restless knot of people standing beside the road ahead.

“Losers! Keep your hands off our jobs!” one of the bystanders yelled. The others joined in, but security kept them at a distance.

Russ noticed that none of the security detail were dressed quite alike; they all wore vaguely uniform clothes in different shades of gray and held nightsticks, but the resemblance ended there. They lived in Men’s Interim Camp 193 just like the work crew, but the crowd seemed to respect their function anyway. “I guess we crave order so bad that anything resembling authority will satisfy us in a pinch,” Russ said to himself.

“What’s that, bud?” Larry asked.

“Oh, nothin’; just thinking out loud.”

“You don’t sound like an unemployable. You payin’ off your own student debt?”

Russ shook his head. “Only a little; mostly it’s my parents’ and grandparents’ medical bills. I did three semesters in community college, before everything fell apart.”

Larry nodded. “I got them medical bills too, for mama’s cancer. They say my grandkids, if I have any, might be eligible to apply for real jobs one day if we all work hard and keep payin’ it off. And, you know, don’t get sick ourselves or nothin’.”

Larry turned toward the taunters once they were safely inside the camp’s high chain-link fence. “Hey man, maybe there’d be less trash for us to pick up if you kept your mom indoors!” Screaming and rock-throwing ensued as the weary security team hustled the crew toward Processing.

Russ bumped a cracked screen with his bracelet. “Congratulations, you earned 11 Freedom Points today!” the machine said in a young woman’s voice. “How would you like to apply them?” Big, cartoonish buttons flashed on the screen.

“Uh, five here and five here,” Russ said as he tapped the screen. “And one for social credits.”

“What’re you gonna do with those, man?” Larry asked.

“Can’t live off cold noodles and canned FEMA water every day,” Russ answered. “Do you know about the Recliner Diner? Oh, man, you gotta see it. There’s a frozen dinner vending machine, a big row of microwaves, and all kinds of recliners in their own cubicles with TV trays and screens. You can watch GoodNews, old movies, sitcoms, whatever. It’s almost, you know, like having a home for half an hour.”

'Three times a day. It really has to happen three times a day. " said the woman with the face clearly kissed by age. She leaned on her walker and pointed to a yellow flower.

"Water it three times a day. I have noted it, "I reply.

'On?'

"Excuse me?"

"You say you noted it but I didn't see you write it down."

"It was more of a mental note."

"I would like to see you write it down on paper."

I suppress a sigh and remove my cell phone from my pocket to take a note.

"That's not paper," the woman says in a shrill tone.

"It's a mobile phone," I answer.

"That's technology."

'It is indeed.'

"Technology fails."

"I don't have any paper."

‘Who doesn't have any paper now? Those youths."The woman straightens up and walks towards a dark wooden cupboard. She opens the top slider and pulls out a sheet of paper. She hands it to me and then starts staring at me. After a short while I break the silence: "I don't have a pen either."

The woman rolls her eyes and walks back to the cupboard. She opens the same slider as before and takes out a blue pen. I take the pen and draw a flower with a watering can next to it. I also add a 3. The woman looks at me sullenly.

"If my flowers are dead when I'm back from vacation, you are gonna regret it."

"It will be all right ma'am."

"I am sending my grandson after you, he has a large tattoo and he is very strong."

"I don't want to meet him then. I will certainly water the flowers. "

I walk to the woman and kiss her on the cheek. She is shocked but does not withdraw. Dazed, she looks at me while I walk out of the room. As I walk down the corridor I greet the nurse. When I look in the car mirror I see my big tattoo and muscular arms.

“What’s that?” I pointed to a blue line that trailed across the chart up and down.

Ben looked serious as he followed my finger’s path. “That’s a measure of happiness in the sample population.”

I raised a hand to cover my smile. For a nine-year old boy, he was incredibly articulate, and in the two days he had been in our home, I’d already started to love him. Part of it was because he was a smart and quirky little boy that talked like a little adult and tended to dress like he was late for a business meeting—polished shoes and jackets, clip-on ties and slicked back hair. Part of it was because it was so clear he needed that love. He had sad, haunted-looking eyes that had clearly seen too much, likely even before the accident at the orphanage.

“What about that one?” I pointed to a purple line that intersected with the blue happiness line in several spots.

He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “That’s a measure of sadness in the sample population.”

Patting his shoulder gingerly, I imagined I could still smell the gas wafting up from his jacket’s little shoulder pad. When I’d asked where he had gotten all the grown-up looking clothes, the lady at foster care had just shrugged. Said it was her understanding he’d had them when he was abandoned at a fire station the year before.

They told me that he wouldn’t talk about where he had come from, who his family had been. One of my goals was to get him to trust me enough that he felt comfortable sharing that in time.

“What about the red line?”

He glanced up at me. “That’s the measure of fear in the sample population.”

The poor kid. The red line had several spikes, shooting up at the end before stopping. My guess was this was his way of trying to process his time at the orphanage. At having to watch ten of his little friends burn to death, and several more suffocate, as gas filled that place just two weeks ago.

“What about that one?” This green line shot up at the end too.

“That’s a measure of death in the sample population.”

I felt tears springing up in my eyes and I tried to fight them back. “I…I see. What’s the black line going across right above the green one?”

He looked up at me again. “That’s the acceptable loss parameters in the sample population. As you can see from the green line, that parameter was not met in this instance.”

I lifted my hand from his shoulder. I should have asked more, but I was suddenly afraid to. I needed time to process and regroup first.

“Okay…Well, dinner will be in an hour.”

He nodded to me as he pulled out a new piece of poster board. “Good. I have to start working on my new chart. I’ll be hungry again soon.”
