Looking for a FC

New to the game but not new to MMORPG's.

Any FC's looking for a total newbie?

Playing a very trigger happy dark mage right now enjoying my leveling by blowing stuff up. But I am glancing towards the hybrid heal/dps gameplay I saw in video's from red mages which looks very sweet making me rekindle my fond memories of the old Chloromancer in Rift and Disc Priest in WoW gameplay.

Luckily switching jobs is easier in FF14 :D

Would love some help and guidance to the jobs, crafting, roles and other things.
This game is a lot more complicated (or rather, information overwhelming) than I expected.

Just so you know red mage isn't a hybrid healer/dps job, it's is a caster dps that happens to have a convenient heal and raise spell. The heal is good for solo quests and such but you shouldn't need it all in party play, the raise however is useful for taking stress of of your healer in a party when things go south.

Also what Tsubaki says is correct, red mage is a dps job but can save groups from wiping if all the healers are down.
