Disappointed prerelease earing

Just realized this does not work for my alt whm. DoW only????? Guess you have to read the fine print.

It is also available to DoMs according to the promo site so I'm not sure what's going on here. I'm not currently online to look at mine though.

It says DoW or DoM. whatare you doing where you are not getting the bonus? It only counts for mob kills. not quests, PotD/HoH, roulette bonuses.

are you unable to equip it? or do you feel you arent getting any bonuses?
also: if you have the Ala Mhigan earring you are better off using it till level 50 then switching to the new one at level 51. I noticed checking them the bonuses are worse on the Aetheryte earring before level 50

Level 63 was doing HoH. Asked why it didn't seem to add bonus, was told it was DoW only. More likely it is not allowed in HoH and PoD.

bonus EXP does not apply in HoH or PotD. Only battle EXP, so it works in the overworld and dungeons.

They jumped the gun a little bit, yeah. In all fairness though the details regarding this item aren't very specific in game.

well i mean people should know by now how exp works in the game. there are fixed amounts - roulette bonus, HoH/PotD and the like and changing amounts based on things like overworld/dugeon trash mobs and using food, rested bonus, etc.

The earrings don't work on quest-style experience rewards. While not a quest, Heaven on High and Palace of the Dead just give a static amount of XP that is not buffed by FC boosts or gear. The earrings will do you more on XP gained from dungeons or open world enemies.
