FF XIV Crashing Issue

FF XIV Crashing Issue

Hey there.

Just as of today no matter my attempts I have had a crashing error occur preventing me from playing the Game.

It comes up with:

An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV.

It's made it impossible to continue queuing into Dungeons, get a quarter of the way before a crash.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Follow Up: Going down to DX9 has no issues, whatever the problems are seem to be DX11 related.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When did this first start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

This looks like an audio-related crash, what is your audio set up like? Do you have more than one audio device plugged in?

I ended up figuring it out myself, dx11 seemed to not like having the Audio sent through the PS4 Controller to headphones. Not doing this solves it, not sure of the reason. Thanks for the response!
