Fishing Intuition clarification please

If you accidentally quit fishing or are forced to stop fishing because fish sense something amiss do you lose all progress you have made towards "Fisher's Intuition" or does it carry on so long as you don't leave the zone?

I'm curious because I know its going to take a while to snag all the green prismfish needed for the buff to catch Warden of the Seven Hues' https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...m/663a9218fd6/' due to their really low bite rate. (assuming they didnt increase their bite rate).

My understanding is that it carries over until you either (a) leave the zone, or (b) begin fishing at another location. It will survive changing jobs from what I've observed, so long as those first two conditions are avoided. Not sure of the impact a disconnect would have, but I suspect it would interrupt progress.

Cool thanks! I was hoping that was the case because that green prismfish gave me such grief before!

If you're finding the green prismfish to have a low bite rate, you might be trying at the wrong time/weather. Despite what it may seem, they have very specific weather requirements for a regular fish, which I myself didn't even realize until this patch when I needed them for something. They only bite from 12am-4pm, and Fair>Clear,Fair weather ONLY. Clear>Fair and Clear>Clear do not work. When the weather and time are right, they bite quite frequently and you should have no trouble getting five, especially if you use Double Hook. They have a single tug as opposed to the double tugs of the other fish, so you can single them out easily for Double Hook.

It also helps if you time it so that you are fishing up the greens during the 8am-4pm timeframe so that you don' t have to worry about the violet and red that appear during 12am-8am clogging up the bite pool.

Just a friendly reminder - that prism fish (and probably most other 4.56 big fish) requires a minimum of 1300 gathering.
What a fool I was to have all conditions met just to get the infamous "Insufficient gathering" message after it bit. Thankfully managed to get it on the next window.
