Will we still fight Primals in Shadowbringers?

We’ve only seen Titania so far, and it’s indicated that we don’t fight her in the same way as other primals, implying that our relationship with her might be similar to that with Ramuh.
They also seem to have put a lot of weight on the concept of Sin Eaters and specifically, Innocents. Could Innocents be our new Primals?

After all, the Warriors or Darkness from the First already succeeded in driving Primals from their world, and given what our mission is, it doesn’t seem like killing Primals exactly fits in with our plans. We may not be ‘for’ primals, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be our jurisdiction anymore.

What if Innocents are like, anti-primals. Rather than being born from the prayers of beast tribes, they’re born from a lack of faith, in the presence of the light that has consumed the First. Instead of draining aether, they multiply it and aspect it to pure light.
If this, or something like this, is true, what do you think we’ll be fighting?

What is that ‘Innocent’ we’ve seen? Is it one of our anti-primal Trials?
The first thing that comes to my mind is Full Throttle from FFX-2, but could it be as simple as 'Paine'? I guess 'pain' has a certain simplistic symbolism to it.

What classic Final Fantasy summons or creatures could fit into this ‘Innocent’ concept?
Eden has already claimed the 8-man raid.
What about Maduin/Madeen?
Asura maybe?
Brynhildr?

I assume we'll still fight Primals. Since, even though that seems to generate "Light" in not doing so, you're dooming the world to have its aether dried up which is also not a particularly good thing to have happen. Especially not when we're trying to save the world.

I'm not quite fully aware on how besting primals creates light though (Outside the fact that dark is normally generated by Ascians fueling the Beast Tribes fears and Crystal supplies to make them summon primals)

That said, if there aren't many primals being summoned (Due to the whole, everybody's gone to the rapture flood of light thing) then we likely won't fight too many of them and instead fight primal-esk Sin Eaters.

Honestly, I think it will depend on exactly how we'll end up creating darkness. I mean, didn't the WoD's go around smashing primals down when they visited our world? Implying that it was a way to generate darkness for some reason (Perhaps it's predicated on brooding afterwards?)

Either way, I don't think we'd just let the world get destroyed by primals even if it was counter to our goal of creating darkness to prevent the flood of light, we'd just have to work harder at making darkness.

Innocence is an individual, not a group, and we know from the marketing materials that we fight both him and Titania, who are both listed as Primals. Titania is summoned by the Faeries and is revered as their queen, and we know that Arbert's group was killing Primals just like us in the buildup toward the Flood.

I'd be surprised if Astaroth isn't a primal too

From what I got though Innocence is that creature name, not a type of monsters. Sin Eaters is the type of monsters, and I believe they monsters of the Light. I couldn't find anywhere anything more about Innocence but if it was a primal we would've known, like they would've wrote it directly in the slide.

Last but not least, Primals drains aether that's why we fight them but I don't know if they are connected to the dark; furthermore Il Mheg with pixies and Titania could be in The Source which we still have to protect. While we don't know anything about primals in the The First.

Well the Pixies are for certain in the First, not the Source. It'd make sense that Titania is on the First as well.

Innocence looks alot like Agrias' angel form. Either one of those angels is called innocence or that type of angels are called innocence that's not sure for now

Worth noting, though I believe this to be an error, but Innocent is marked as a Primal on SEs press center under Shadowbringers artwork. While I'm doubtful the label Primal is correct, it does perhaps indicate that he is a Trial? JP fanfest was... Honestly, kind of a mess... I'm wondering if he was meant to be the second "primal" reveal? But that just got lost amidst the rushing of XIV related news in favour of... Whatever it was I witnessed... I think Titania was stated as not being a primal as well? I suspect the two might simply be Four Lords style characters with Trials?

As for Primals on the First... I wish bringing balance to the First requires us to work from the Ascian playbook, and SE can finally justify us summoning Primals... We still completely lack the content to make that idea work though, and Heaven-on-High seems to have stolen the concept already... Still... To quote an old friend; "The growing imbalance afflicting the planet First must be redressed... A chaotic confluence of untold proportions must needs be brought about. And that will necessitate the presence of the primals..."

I've been waiting for Free Company Primal Summoning since 1.x dammit!

"Primal" is used in a lot of promotional material to talk about the 8-man fights that are not part of the Raid series. The Four Lords are even called primals sometimes out of the game even when they are primals in the game.
