I don't even know where to start, ok so I have struggled with various mental disorders most of my life things like Dyslexia, severe depression and other things I don't like to talk about. Anyone who suffers with certain types of Dyslexia or any type of mental disorder / disability knows what I mean, my main issues is I can read and write just fine, but sometimes when reading you can have problems retrieving words, like just missing things or whatever and large walls of text can be troublesome at times.
So after returning to FFXIV after a break due to work / IRL things ect I decided to move servers, I was never able to get a house after playing since the start of the game pretty much, and I was told by some friends that there were plots available on Omega. I read through the process as carefully as I could and got everything ready, I had 25 Million on my character with 3 Retainers, it wasn't till after I transferred and noticed I was missing 15 Million Gil that I realised I missed something or did something wrong, I don't know what or where I went wrong cause I really don't remember seeing or reading about a cap limit of 10 Million Gil per character, if I noticed this I would have put 5 Million on each retainer and ended up not losing anything.
So I preceded to contact Customers service multiple times explaining my situation and disabilities and they where completely unwilling to help! Not even to a single degree, I understand it is in there ToS but I really don't think it clearly stated this anywhere on the transfer page itself.
I know it boils down to being my mistake (due to a disability?) I was so excited to finally return to FXIV and get ready for the expansion and also being able to own a house!! But now after losing 15 Million that took months to farm only to lose it when it could have been avoided with no help at all from Customer services really makes me want to give up on everything. Sorry for this long and useless post but I was told by Customer services to post this on FFXIV reddit / Official forums to voice concerns for future feedback, so there is is.

i mean TOS is TOS for world transfer. You agreed to it when you clicked yes. the game assumes you have done your due diligence.

I thought the max a player could transfer on then was 20mil gil (and 5mil per retainer)? If so then you would have only lost 5mil and not 15mil if the entire 25mil was actually on your character before the transfer. But yeah it does mention gil limits when you are completing the transfer form online, so it's possible you didn't read it or misread it. SE also have no way of confirming whether a player has a disability, (not that I'm suggesting in any way it's being made up), so just think if many players used this reasoning to get something returned, it could be open to abuse you know. Still GMs can use discretion for certain things but it's down to them to follow the TOS as well.

I'm on Omega myself (welcome!) and we still have tons of small houses, in all areas, and they will all cost you less than 4 million. I appreciate it might not be what you wanted right now, but in most cases you'd need a small before you could buy a medium/large anyway (due to relocation bypassing the timer and without a house already you're unlikely to win in buying a medium/large). -

When you go 'thru the transfer procedure, you are warned about all limitations. Maybe you just clicked "yes > yes >yes > yes > GOOO!" without noticing the warnings and the links to how the procedure works.
Btw, good news: small plots are free here and there so you can buy housing even without the extra Gil you lost. -
