Duty Alerts - putting 'em where I can see them

Hey everyone, I'm trying to wrangle my UI into something I can parse during a duty.

I have some, shall we say, brain problems that make me prone to getting completely overloaded by visual and audio information (such as an alliance raid, yikes).

I was wondering if there was some way to modify text from important NPCs (duty specific allies, bosses - basically anyone who would be throwing me a hint on what I'm supposed to do). As its set by default, I tend to miss important announcements and, sometimes, completely screw up a raid mechanic as a result. Bonus points if I can attach a specific announcement noise to it.

I think what you're asking for would be nice in theory, but I think you're asking for them to homogenize notifications that they fully intended to be a sort of check for whether you are paying attention to the right thing at the right time. The only thing that comes to mind is the boss of Rabanastre with the mask that tells you whether or not you're supposed to do what he's telling you or the opposite, but I think the fact that it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment is an intentional design decision.

I would be curious to see some examples of what we currently have versus what you'd like to see instead.

actually, that's the exact event that made me start seriously considering this

I don't need anything telling me EXACTLY what to do

I just to need whatever the boss says to be somewhere on my screen that I can more easily see it

a sound alert would just cue me to an important NPC saying something, regardless of what it is (I doubt this is an option, sigh)

this is more an accessibility sorta thing than basic convenience

edit: like, I want the text to be right in the way of where I'm looking - blocking the actual action if it has to

if there's someway to modify that then that's all I'm looking for

this isn't a special dev request or anything, this is me asking if I can even modify that and how
