Thank you for that Development Panel with the environmental artists. I haven't smiled that hard since fanfest started. Seeing how passionate they are with providing us with beautiful areas to roam through and the sheer lengths they're willing to go for good assets was astounding. Especially after hearing that some of them pay out of their own pocket to travel for photo assets.
Also consider this a petition to have the 'placeholder' NPC's actually show up as proper fleshed out characters. We need more giant Roe's sporting moogle hats in our lives.

I loved that panel so much! I do some 2D/3D art for hobby projects but when I heard what lengths they go to just to perfect background elements like ground textures, that made my head spin!
Also, totally putting together that placeholder NPC glam XD -

Environment has always been easily one of my most favorite elements of FF games (not only, but always at the top) - I'd love to continue to hear from the environment team. Just wanted to come in and up vote and say I'm a big fan of their work as a whole company.
