WHM vs AST/SCH isn't even a balance problem - it's a design problem.

No balance can ever fix an underlying design problem, and seemingly all we get is "balance" garbage.

Well... On the bright side, hopefully this means having significant changes to current healers. So that the meta isn't all about SCH and better WHM AST.

It sucks that there's no new job, but one can hope that maybe the changes to the 3 we currently have can make them feel like new jobs.

Though, it also suggests that if they manage to get all 3 healers in a good spot during ShB then the next job released will be a healer. Which will be cool.

Yoshi was very careful on how he worded what he said, it's quite open to interpretation. It just states he wants to focus on the current ones "rather" than add more, not that he won't. Unless we get a definitive answer of yes or no in regards to a new healer, anything is still possible at this stage.

This is not an excuse (after 4 years).
Every role suffer from a lack of balance.
Why Healers should pay the price for it again ?

So what did they even accomplish in 4.0 for healers besides giving WHM a useless 68 trait and ripping part their kit out? Do they need 2 more years? 4? 6? End of game life to finally stop treating healers like second class citizens?

At least he's honest about it for once I guess?

What is the price? No new job for the role? You can still play healers.

The main problem is there are only limited ways you can actually heal people and have them be different in the current healer set up (direct healing), so the only way to diversify healers would be to change how they dps, which they'll never do while the dev team maintains the attitude that healer dps is optional.
