I see no role icons in a party. I can tell who's the tank easily enough, but not casters from healers. (I don't know all the job roles well enough to tell)..

A blue background on the class icon is a tank, a green background a healer and a red background is DPS.
I think crafters and gatherers are both grey but you shouldn't get those in duties.
Any class icon that's Red is a DPS of some variety, Blue is tank, Green is healer. You should see party member's class/job icon if you're in a dungeon, trial, cross world party, raid and such. Otherwise only if you're in the same zone. But you can look in the party member menu option to look as well.
