I want to do my thesis related to the game

Good day everyone!

I am a psychology student from Chile (I apologise in advance, my english is not that good) and this year I have to prepare my thesis. As the title say, I would like to do my work with a theme related to the game, the only problem is that right now I don't have a clear idea of what to study yet -I would like to do something related to the relations people have inside the game- and I don't know if I need some kind of permission from SE in order to do something like this or if any of you would like to participate in this research.

So my questions are: Do I actually need to ask permission to SE to do it? Would you like to take place on this?

i dont think you have to ask Square for permission to do it about a topic related to the game as long as you give proper credit that it has to do partly with Final Fantasy 14
