Data center expansion transfer question

Hey there, the question has probably been asked, but could not find it in the recent discussions and using the search feature.

So as part of the EU and US data center expansion, there will be free transfer (with other perks) offered from my understanding. I am currently on a EU server, and started living in Australia a while ago, as a result I would want to transfer (but without loosing the money from my house among other things) to a JP server. Will the free transfer (and its perks) apply to moving to an other data center which may or may not be affected ?

As per the last thread bringing this up (though in that case it was EU<=>NA) we don't have a definitive answer and just a lot of guessing.
It might work or it might not, unless SE speak up to clarify your best bet sadly is to wait and see for yourself (and then let us know so at least the folks on the NA data centers know what to expect ahead of time).
