Trasnfer before DC split - 90 day restriction

Sadly, I was not able to find any information or statement in regards to the following question. Feel free to hotlink me to said post if this has been answered before.

For the following DC split, our static is facing some problems with a person that has been transferred servers on January 21. Due to the 90 day lockout rule, he would only be able to transfer after April 21st or 22nd.
Sadly, he chose a server which will end up on another datacenter.
This is a bit of an issue, since we are currently progging UCOB and have a certain deadline which would be looming above our heads if we are forced to take a nearly month-long break.

Has there been any word that the 90-day timer is going to reset once the datacenters have been split?

That only applies if said member moved to a Preferred World, and if said member did move, then no, they will not remove the restriction, in fact they warned you last year that this split was going to happen early 2019, so said member had plenty of time to read up before moving and getting yourself stuck for three months and possibly missing out on a free transfer (why even pay when you know its going to be free at some point).

You're just stating a very toxic oppinion rather than answering the question of the thread and I highly doubt your "oh he should've known not to transfer" has nothing to do with you knowing anything about what they're planning to do in regards of the transfer restriction. If you don't have any facts or dev statements to help solve the issue, then don't respond at all.

Remember when they explicitly said that they're expecting the whole thing to happen in late April 2019 only to give us the set date in early April only a short while ago?

These are facts, this is what OP is looking for. Not some smug remark with zero contribution value.
Especially when you have no raiding experience to speak of to even be familiar with the circumstances surrounding people, that need to server transfer for prog and are forced to do it again due to the surprisingly sudden DC split.

I think giving the locked characters the possibility to transfer to another "Preferred World" will save everything. The player stay with his friends, and SE keeps the world population as intended. Win-win.
