Cannot jump while using triggers on controller

What it says in the subject line. I've tried remapping but the remapping is limited and even if you remap buttons, the minute you hold down a trigger, you can't jump anymore until you let go.

This limits mobility when trying to use instant actions while running and trying to navigate verticle terrain.

Is there ANY way to make it so you can jump while holding a trigger on a controller?

i doubt it, seeing as the triggers are the default for the cross hotbar. there is like to be something in place that forces the game to prioritize hotbar actions over movement action in this game seeing as vertical mobility is of little concern in battle

i just jump before i use actions though i see little reason why you would need to seeing as there are no platform based battles (if my memory is correct)

Hmmm can you set the jump button to either the right or left bumpers? I play on controller for PS4 and during combat I dont use those bumpers so you night be able to do it that way.

L2 and R2 affect L1 and R1's binds as well. Any combination of trigger and bumper acts as tab target.

Honestly, there are so few arenas with any verticality to them that this isn't a big issue. Maybe it seems like a big issue as you progress through the story, but jumping is not necessary in any combat scenario in game, and rebinding the way the controller works so that you can jump while casting (which itself honestly can just equate to "release the trigger for a second") would be very strange.

You can set Jump as a hotbar command under Actions & Traits - General.

I'm curious what scenarios are causing you so much trouble where you need to jump and use actions at the same time in order to progress.
Aside from what others have suggested, you can also bind commands (macros) to L3 and R3, although that's not likely ideal for jumping. I still don't understand why you would need this though.

There's no reason you have to jump while using a skill in this game.
