Data Center Redistribution for Crystal (Two Weeks without being able to log in?)

So, I have a few questions regarding the Crystal data center changes. According to the images provided to us it states that "Redistribution is scheduled to be carried out over a two week period." Going by this statement and past data center redistribution's such as Chaos data center, which was down for three or five days, does this mean the worlds being moved will be inaccessible for this two week period?

If so, this could seriously impact their populations as the transfer incentives open up during this time frame. I could see many people transferring off the worlds while they are down for relocation.

Can anyone clarify? Images provided.

Additionally, during the Chaos move they reimbursed players for their subscription time lost which makes me believe it will be down for two weeks.

Subscription Period Extensions
In order to compensate players inconvenienced by this extended maintenance, those who meet the following requirements will have their subscriptions extended by the number of days required for maintenance:

Service accounts containing characters on the Worlds within the Chaos data center (Cerberus / Lich / Moogle / Odin / Phoenix / Ragnarok / Shiva / Zodiark) before Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT).
Service accounts with an active subscription.

This probably means the servers will be shut down for maintenance several times in a two week period. How long each shut down will be? Your guess is as good as mine.

No they meant you get a free transfer that lasts two weeks after the redistribution

Remember, worlds on Chaos were shut down for five days and had subscriptions reimbursed.

A more concerning thought for me is which servers are going to be affected by the loss of housing? Servers marked in green text? Servers marked in black text? Servers that are going to the Crystal DC? I'll be fairly pissed off if I'm indeed losing my house over this.

If that is the case... Make an alt and have fun on another server for a little while? But I have a feeling they may be doing one server at a time so not to disrupt gameplay too much.

Remember, the Chaos servers were moved... from Montreal to Germany. It takes a while to copy as much data as is needed for all of the characters on a datacenter halfway across the world.

They are moving them only from one rack to another (or just adding a new duty finder server to the existing rack and thats all). This should be able to be done either logically (aka they just update the logical addresses and maybe change some cabling and networking in the logical datacenter), or can be done in one maint over 24 hours. (if there is new hardware)

Servers will remain intact. They are just being reshuffled. If someone is planning to stay on their server then they have nothing to worry about. No one is going to lose their house by staying. If they are transferring off of their server then they will be fully reimbursed for their plot.

Got ya, so I was simply misunderstanding what the housing loss was over then. I thought it was implying housing loss while the servers were being shuffled around on the DC's. Ignore me! =P

The company they rented the servers from most likely changed. I doubt they physically moved servers across the pond. Also take into account the world visiting feature being flipped on. That will add another step to all of this. Ultimately, it does say "Over a two week period."

Remember, Chaos was down for five days and went through something similar. However, Chaos was moved intact from hardware to hardware. In this situation you're removing individual servers from the data center cluster and making an entirely new one. Chaos was already made and just needed to be moved. It didn't become a data center from another data center. They cited two weeks not me.
