Hey, I just wanted to ask when and how you guys are going to deal with the bot attacks across the data centre atm, the duty finder has been down for ages now and upon doing a simple player search across the world with the min/max level set to 50, you can see a minimum of 170+ bots all accessing the duty finder all at once across Omega, please do something soon as the game is unplayable at this rate.
So SE releases a statement about how they're going to be policing the population more and supposedly giving more GM authority to crack down on negative things and illicit activity(which sounds great in some ways having seen gathering bots exploit freely without consequence with entire communities reporting them for years) and then three days later we get a display of thousands of level 50 characters that most likely illegally paid for their account/subscription and automated their way to level 50 and had the sufficient botnet / computer resources to successfully coordinate halting the majority of game content for the entire player base. Is that really the current working theory on what is transpiring?
They could easily kill these bots off so fast and often that the botting people would just give up but SE doesn't. It's pretty sad really.
Well, I mean.. it's thousands of paying accounts. It's a mater of how severe a disruption SE is willing to take before it outweighs the money they make. Gil farming is a nuisance for sure, but worth throwing out that kind of gross? not really. Breaking the servers for everyone though <--- daddy SE gonna get the ruler.
