Most chests in dungeons drop potions no one has use for since the amount of health a normal potion heals, is often less then getting hit by an enemy once... so no one actually uses them. Because of that fact I suggest adding more chests in dungeons (after each boss, small or big) to increase chances of actually getting something that will help you advance.
dungeons can be run ad nauseum so no. you gear advance using the latest tomestone or the most previous one, or buy/make crafted gear or raid. so many different options!
I wouldn't be against more chests, but for the majority of players they aren't really saught out to advance in the game but more for glamour purposes. So more chests would really have to contain stuff to make it worth it you know.
Yeah but that is why I made similar idea's. If they add chests and increase the chances of getting good gear then it might actually serve a purpose.
Even if the drops stay crappy.. I'd rather have 2 potions then just 1 cuss if you ignore them long enough you might actually get a stack of potions that might take care of the repair costs and every bit of gil counts :p
Repair costs are pretty low when you can repair your own gear. We don't really need more chests, things got better since 2.X in terms of chests and loot, any more for dungeons at this point would just feel overkill.
And if you really want to get potions to take care of repair costs...for some reason, just go to HoH and get stacks of max potions, you never lose gear durability there.
First of all, I consideR HoH boring so no.. and secondly... most chests give you the roll option and I rarely ever get something :/
I've learned that if you want an armor piece you either waste 2 hours on a dungeon doing it 3-4 times in a row or you just buy it on the market...
Some people have 8+ hours to play, others only have 2-3... so the market in this case becomes very attractive and in our case even feels forced for the very same reason.
Yet I've been able to do runs with friends in about 12-15 minutes a run, so if we really needed gear we'd say who wanted what first off, then just do a few runs together. And it's the chests before the first boss that always drop potions. It's not hard to do. Plus if you REALLY need crafted gear, just take some of the tombstones you've collected, buy the materials for the crafted stuff, and find someone to make them. There's a lot of people willing to make gear for you if you have the mats.
