Please seperate the Relic Weapon and Eureka weapon in 5.0

If Eureka content is doing so well and is liked, it should be able to stand on its own. It can still have its own weapon and gear attached to it and I think that is fine.


But please, don't stuff the relic weapon into it again. Please let the relic quest and weapon be its own thing and not shoved into content that many people dislike.


If Eureka can't hold up with having the relic weapon in it, then improve Eureka instead of forcing people that don't want to be in there to go in there.

Knowing them, they'll probably do tie eureka 2.0 with relic and possibly even more: I wouldn't be surprised if more content will be tied to it. Square doesn't know the word feedback: they know stats charts and only charts.

I mean just look at the basic things: fates have been useless since HW and yet we get more and more fate and fate-based content despite nobody liking it, but just because there are people doing it for the rewards it's considered a "success", as "the chart says..."

POTD, while not amazing, it's still useful for leveling but they didn't even bother to actually improve it: HoH is identical to POTD minus 2 sections and fewer floors but it's barely different. I'm sure many had ideas or feedbacks for it but "the chart says"

Heck I'm not surprised if we even get more limited jobs in the future, since blue mage was massively played: they'll probably see it as a huge success and make more limited jobs, and only because "the chart says..."

TL;DR: Expect more and more tied content to Eureka, as they think it was a success.

Eureka was failed content. Do not do it again. Many of those that participated only did so because the relics were locked behind it. Stop trying to force Diadem to work.

I doubt Eureka will continue into ShB.
However this isn't because it was failed content. Quite the opposite. It was content people liked (well Pagos was....) for the most part.
It actively had people in there all the time, still does at the time of this post. All regions! I might go Penty farming later today in fact.

The reason I don't think it's going to continue is the same reason Diadem didn't continue. Again, not because it was failed content (and that arguably was), it's because they learn from what they did, and carry on to improve later objectives.
Diadem, Diadem 2, and all the versions of Eureka are teaching the devs what people like to do in these things. They get more creative with each rendition. Pyros was hella fun.

So while Eureka won't continue, something else will surely take it's place.

Or how about this, keep the relic in Eureka, but also have another weapon that we can aim for outside of it.

Then again, Eureka was much better than the 2.0/3.0 grind, so if thats what you are asking for, I'd rather just keep it like Eureka

Eureka is garbage. Just scrap the whole thing.

This is every large corporate entity every though. They don't trust forums and other forms of communication because a few loud voices can hijack the discussion just by being really loud and obnoxious. So they'll look at the numbers they can control for themselves. People really need to stop playing Eureka if they don't like Eureka. It's the only way for them to actually send a message that SE will understand. You're very correct when you say they think its a success because "the chart says..."

Alternatively, allow the Eureka relic to be purchased for obscene amounts of tomestones without setting foot inside Eureka.
Heck, do this for 4.0's Eureka relic in 5.0 and you'll have my eternal gratitude.
Even better - do it in 4.58, so that all of us who would sooner slit our wrists than return to Eureka have something to do in May and June.

Alternatively alternatively, have two (identical stat, different glamour) versions of the relic weapon - one gained inside new!Eureka, and one gained outside.
The outside one obtained along the lines of ARR and HW. Maybe exactly the same, though I'm sure you're capable of coming up with new twists.
The point being that the non-Eureka relic has multiple ways of being obtained, can be done mostly solo, in sub-20 minute chunks, and is based on content that all level 70s have proven they enjoy, or can at least tolerate, simply by virtue of being level 70.

Better still - don't waste more resources on a new Eureka...
I know it's far too late for that to happen, if it's planned to happen.
Though if I were in your shoes, I'd strongly consider, say, reusing 4.0!Eureka's maps for 5.0!Eureka or something. Anything to re-focus dev resources where they'd actually be appreciated...
