It's annoying that i have to change them back everytime I log in.
I noticed that my Character folders are on read only so I remove them only to find that they are set to read only again and this is only happening to Final Fantasy. All my other games folders are fine.
I tried reinstalling and it still keeps happening.

Is the game installed on the C drive? Installing it on the same drive as the operating system will improve stability. After changing the setting on the folders from " read Only", please try launching the game under " Run as Administrator" by right clicking the Final Fantasy XIV launcher.
