So this is new with patch 4.5. I'm doing hunts, and if there are lots of players in front of me or around me the hunt monster "disappears". Oh, its still there, I just can't see it or target it. This happens when there are 24+ players in the area. No problem with fewer people.
I recall something in the patch notes about items further away not showing up, but this is silly. I'm close enough target Girmekhala and can't see it. Anyone know of a setting I can tweak?
This has alway been the case, as far as I've experienced. I think the new patch change was to prioritise loading your party members so they don't vanish. Busy hunt marks have always been vulnerable to popping in and out of Sight - it was a major complaint when Eureka launched, too.
The beast solution I'm aware of for now is to circle around it so there are less people between you and the monster, so the system is more likely to count it within the "X closest objects" that are loaded on your screen.
Ok - Guess I'll be more careful.
Its just embarrassing to end up pulling the hunt monster when you didn't even see it :)
I have noticed that party members now get priority. I'll poke around in the settings then.
