Tips on smn?
Hey all. So I'm a Scholar main but I've recently grown fond of summoner. I know the basics of obey at all times, placement, and swamping to steady when I need to use special commands like Contagion.
I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything in particular.

Have you read the Tsundere Imouto guide?
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...y0TrCa0qg/edit
It has basically everything you need to know. It's a bit complicated to reply to your post, because as said in the guide SMN relies on managing several "mini-games" so it's about optimizing each one of these.
Keep your DoTs up, cast ruin 3 a lot, ruin 4 when it procs, DWT makes moving easy, get as many Wyrmwaves as possible out of bahamut, don't clip...
Enjoy! :D

Practice and practice, Summoner is all about getting the timing right:
1. Keep DoTs always
2. Cast Aetherflow every minute
Also, remember:
1. Casting the maximum number of ruin 3’s and 4’s without triple weaving.
2. Knowing when and how to spend 3 stacks of aetherflow every minute.
3. Identifying when to Dreadwyrm trance for maximum possible movement.
4. Setting up Dreadwyrm trance to reset your tri-disaster instead of manually casting DoTs.
5. Milking as many wyrmwaves as possible out of Bahamut (11).
6. Using Rouse, Dreadwyrm, Bahamut and Aetherflow without locking yourself out of any.
The link above my post has an excellent walkthrough how to optimize your dps as summoner.
A good summoner hardly hard cast their DoTs. Timing your tri-disaster and the reset perfectly.

Would suggest checking out The Balance discord if you have the time. We have a few resources, including visual guides + videos, and a few of us are able to answer any specific questions you may have. I'm not sure if this forum has rules regarding posting links/self advertising (the subreddit can be iffy about it), otherwise I can just post a bunch of links to said resources (some are my own).
