Blue Mage Feats Thread.

Another Blue Thread!

So, I have been looking all over the place for information about the 3 Blue Mage feats or "hidden" achievements: The Harder They Fall, Octopath Traveler and Something Borrowed.

I managed to achieve one and it got me thinking about the others, so here's what I found and my thoughts about it.

The Harder They Fall. Obtain the "Giant Slayer" feat.

You'll have to go in Stage 10 and let the enemy cast King's Will 3 times. When the stacks are three the mechanics changes slightly. The most important part is that you don't DPS too much otherwise it won't cast three King's Wills in the first place. And silence Dark Nebula (300k damage, not reducable by Diamondback).
Other than that, you'll need a healing skill as some skills become instant and you won't be able to dodge them anymore.


Octopath Traveler. Obtain the "Trouble With Tentacles" feat.

Stage 20, you need to kill Typhoon while all the tentacles are still alive. Alive being the keypoint. Due to this being a pretty long challenge and only the last Act matters, you can cheese Act I and II by using every buff (Bristle, Off-Guard, Moon Song and Peculiar Light (only on Act I and III, if you're going for fast) and then Self Destruct yourself to instantly defeat them.
Upon reaching Act III you can damage Typhoon freely until he uses Snort, then block it with Diamondback. Immediatly after Surecast, Get all your buffs up and Self Destruct next to Typhoon, so that the game registers Typhoon dying first and the tentacles are then still "alive" as he falls, even though you probably kill them all at once, it'll work.

The legit way: Just kill Typhoon while you keep the tentacles alive. In this case you'll also need your Flying Sardine in order to silence Imp Song.


Something Borrowed. Obtain the "Perfect Blue" feat.

Stage 25, In order to get this one you'll need to meet specific conditions. You'll also need Loom. And probably lots of tries. I'd suggest to balance your spellc quite evenly (magical/physical)
Anyway, the points being:
- Take no damage.
- Use an ability of every element. (Water, Fire, Lightning, Ice, Earth and Wind) Unaspect not confirmed.
- Use an ability with each type of physical damage. (Piercing, Slashing and Blunt)
- Completed as, or faster than Standard Complition Time.

I got it by killing Typhoon just after Ultros appeared

Something Borrowed:
Take no damage
Use an ability of every element
Use an ability with each type of physical attribute (Blunt,Pierce etc)
win by the standard time
You can use SD and FS but they MUST be the killing blow of each round ACT 1 is no physical including autos so beware ACT 2 is no magical and kill adds asap ACT 3 alternates from no magical to no physical you MUST have LOOM

I'm having trouble with the 'Giant Slayer' feat.
I completed the stage multiple times by now letting the target cast King's Will three times before killing it and never got the feat and subsequently the achievement.

Am I missing another requirement or is there an actual issue with this one?
