I clicked the portal to exit a dungeon and the game crashed. When I attempt to log in after selecting my character I get a loading screen and then the game crashes again. I am able to log in with an alt on another server. I was directed to the form for help with this problem.

Are you getting any kind of error message when this crash occurs?
If it is only happening with this one character, you may want to try deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.
