Withdraw Penalty on Solo Dungeon runs?

Excuse me but i feel violated a bit that i get a penalty for playing alone and changing my mind( ie: realizing i actually need a 2nd warm body to clear) after i queue a dungeon.
Why is this a thing?

Wait, undersized gets a penalty now? O.o

Edit: I just tried this and didn't get one? I even liked some stuff before leaving.

the warning window came up when i did it. it was my mistake .. i forgot about the decayed goobu in lost city of ampador...
were you in a party when you tested it? Maybe the chocobo set it off.

There's a note before you join the dungeon saying that preformed parties or undersized parties are excluded from receiving the penalty

Bit of a late post, but no, I didn’t have my chocobo out (I know because I tried it on my main and almost never use my chocobo on her). Chocobos shouldn’t set off the penalty, as you aren’t technically in a party with them.

Ok, I've just never noticed the message before? I'm guessing. I'm glad to hear they fixed the party thing for chocobos. Way back when they actually did count as being in a party.
