Any Tips?

I haven't played since ARR, when Midgardsormr started trolling you, but just got back into playing again. I have obviously missed a ton of added content and sometimes feel like I am missing things. For example, I seen the cut scene with that white whale primal but then nothing. Just looking for anything that I shouldn't miss, probably missed, maybe stuck away in a corner, or tips for getting back into the swing of action.

If you're trying to get back into the game, the game will point you in the right direction for MSQ so honestly, as you follow that you should be fine. It sounds like you're in heavensward expansion pack if I'm not mistaken. There are a couple of endgame primals you can unlock but in terms of importance, it's not high on the list. To fully enjoy everything, as long as you focus on MSQ, you should be okay. :) Those primals that you can unlock can be done anytime so don't stress out too much. I appreciate it and realized that I was just being impatient after I seen some things pop up in the MSQ. Makes me think they give you the glimpses as foreshadowing and to try to coax into doing side quests.

They definitely do that. But as long as you focus on MSQ which are indicated by the MSQ icon, you'll be good!
