Relic level 50

So yeah... relics are supposed to take time! I get it ive done it in ARR and Heavenswards, but.. we are looking into the new expansion soon, many of level 50 stuff are quick to do... not the relic!!!! Im doing the atma part that requires grinding fates to get 12 atmas to proceed! ... Its my 3rd day.. i grind and i grind and i grind.. ive wasted around 8hrs minimum and i have 5 atmas... They want 12! I get it, dont get me wrong i get it. But we are at a stage that level 50 stuff should be much more easier... Cmon ex trials you can basically solo them. The relic should follow the same pattern by now, dont make it a chore. Make it something one can pleasure in and have a bit of fun. 3 days with 2-3hrs playtime to get 5 out of 12 atmas is a bad bad premisses for something that is so so so outdated. Make it less, make it fun!!

(disclaimer: i have done FULL relics in Heavensward, I understand the "GRIND")

Books are the worst part because you're constantly going all over the place (and waiting on fates). It would be much better if

Two Books had Fates
Two Books had Dungeons
Two Books had Leves
Two Books had Enemies
One Book had a mixture of all 4.

The ARR and Heavenwards stuff is fine. It got nerfed to hell numerous times already but they aren't going to make it where you can just get one thing one after another. The entire process is still supposed to be a grind and gets done pretty quickly after the atma stage since you can solo or unsync all of the trials/dungeons.

Also if you think it is bad now, you don't know anything unless you did it before all the nerfs. Now THAT was a chore.

First of all, they have made the process of getting the lvl 50 relic weapons quicker and easier in several ways. Yes, it used to be even grindier.
Secondly, of course it is going to feel grindy if you try to do it all at once. Don't spend so much time every day on it. Don't try to get it all done in a couple of days. Assume that it will take several weeks or even months before you are done.


Keep in mind that there are really only two reasons to get the lvl50 relic weapon. The first is to use it for cosmetic purposes. The second is for the personal satisfaction of having done it, once one is finished.
So if you think the process is too grindy, then don't do it. It is not like you will actually need the finished relic weapon.

Ive done it when it was relevant. The Heavensward one. And yes it was a chore, and I understood why. It might be my luck but this stage of atma at the moment in level 50 relic is looking like one of those. It shouldnt, its outdated content my years now... or maybe it should.. but I feel that im overworking on something at the moment that is not worth the effort im putting in to it. That is all im saying.. There is a lot of content on this game that in my eyes is worth it, the way level 50 relic is, especially as there a level 60 and a level 70 relic out there, is not worth it. I just saying my opinion, I will finish it, but this is the only level 50 relic i will do to its end, its not worth it, its purelly cosmetic and I will say it again, for "brag" purposes there is relic 60 and relic 70 out there...

IMO what would actually be better is if you could get every book, so if you do Haukke Manor HM it strikes out that dungeon on all of them. It'd make it way easier and less repetitive.

If you dont feel its worth it, then why do it?

Back in the days when the weapons were relevant content I understood the complains, specially about the Atma-grind because you kinda had to do it to get the best weapon (depending on the stage it was either outright BiS or the next best thing for everyone who couldnt get their raid-weapon, either because they werent raiding or just had no luck with drops).
But now...?
As you notice yourself: Its a glamour-item - not only one though, but several.
If the grind isnt worth it to you, you can choose not to do it. Simple as that.

I dont feel like this really needs to be nerfed heavly again - it has been made so, so much easier already and given the nature of the whole questline, including the lore and the narration of the story, I dont think it would be appropriate if you could just breeze through it.
I finished two ARR-relics when they were current content and a third after the nerfs (I think I have a fourth Atma-weapon somewhere...) and I always liked having a project to work on with a reward that was indeed worth it to me.
You are entitled to your opinion that its not worth it, but personally I dont share that opinion. And I dont share the idea that just because its super easy now to get the ARR-EX-primal mounts everything else has to be handed to you on a silver plate aswell. HW and SB relics dont "replace" the ARR one either - neither are actual relevant weapons aswell (the HW outright arent, the SB ones have enough alternatives that you dont have to do that relic-grind either). This isnt "Oh, we got this new relic, lets throw everything about the old one into the trash!"

Yes, the relic - any of the relics - can be a grind and maybe with the outdated stuff its not as necessary anymore to keep us busy, but at the same time you can choose that you dont want to be kept busy with it at all, even as this very, very nerfed stage.
Personally I know that getting a fourth relic or a fifth would be worth it to me and I would actually like to go through the quest again, even at its current stage. But I only really play 3 classes and all of them got their relics, so...

I'd prefer if they just had 1 book per stat for a total of 4 books.

Oh gosh! I totally forgot about those things!

Vidu I have all battle classes to 70, i do ex trials, check my mounts, i have done relics in the past... i know what a grind is... I know what you mean and i respect your input. Still this stage, the atma stage i feel it is too much.. i guess my opinion here.. but i feel it is too much.. for what is is worth. For my experience SE, just my opinion this is the only relic level 50 i will level, because the fate atma part is just too much... just my two cents, even though if forum community doesnt agree with it..
