kickstarter?

was seeing a few threads about how obsidian is talking bout using kickstarter to fund one of there old school games and i was thinking ...hmmm why not SE?

lot of people say, why not go back to ffxi then to alot of the players here when they mention ffxi. well the answers are simply abysea and well it's an old game they probably played to the point they can play it blindfolded.

but the though is why not use this site to start a fund for a FFXI-2 mmo. or even a remake of the old pre abysea of course but with a better graphics, perhaps the 2.0 graphics. if i new the mmo was going to be exactly what i want out of it i'd happily throw them a 100 for this and sounds like maybe a good way to approach it if they worried about the numbers.

dunno just a thought ...i just wanted to put it out there as a possibility. ..theres still huge huge hopes for ffxiv either way and i'm loving it above any mmo i've played other then ffxi so... but this does sound like maybe a possible idea?

Square Enix is a company that measures its profits and recently some of its losses in the BILLIONS.

Kickstarter is an awesome website, but it's one that's not designed for such a project.

All I saw was "kickstart" and it all went downhill from there.

well i understand that se is a huge company, so is obsidian and others alike, but i mean if money is the issue for not making mmo's that we want? then why not try it this way? not like they get a penny unless they reach there mark money wise and donation wise. least this might show mmo companies there is still a market for making mmo's that are not for the masses.
