MATERIA changes to save inv space

What would you think of resist materia just being combined with the other more popular materias instead of having 2 pieces. I don't think resist materia would make people to OP so i don't think it would be an issue.

Combine sleep resist with hp
petrifaction resist with mp and so on.

The materia system is still new and needs adjustments, i think this would be a good one.

EDIT:just wanted to point out the second agenda of this topic is to make use of less desirable materia by combining them with more desirable materia. quality over quantity.

I'd be happier if materia didn't take up space in my inventory at all, it never made sense to me that it does, my character is carrying around several thousand fire/ice/lighting/whatever crystals but because materia is a different 'type' of crystal it takes up a precious inventory slot.

this idea is also to gain the effects of less desired materia without having to sacrifice stats for it.

for standard materia i think they are doing away with all the different potency's and just making them NQ HQ so they can stack

I think materia should be done like crystals in the inventory and made stackable have ...so if you have say 4 +12 str they shoudl all be one stack and the +1 strs should be in another stack.

that's a really good idea actually.

they put off the +2, +3 materials to get more space in our inventory and they add grade I,...,V materia, dark matters and stuff for craft and materia attachment, so it doesn't change anything at all to our inventory space...

yea, i have a retainer maxed with materia. when i have time i blow it up on multi melds.

That's why they should give us a unique tab for materia, make an universal and only one grad of dark matter and the attachment for materia, also, only one type of them, not 3 different despit your a miner or a botanist.
Beastmen currencies also deserve their own tab (if there will be someday a use for it).

Seriously, why add so much things where one would make no difference.

all good ideas as well. Esp since they intend to limit our inv to 100 again(although the screenshot with items bags would suggest 125)

But even after all that would would use a resist materia instead of a stat or crit materia or something. i say combine them onto more important materias as a bonus effect.

the effects of materia are pretty low as is
