DirectX, crashing, and the frustration therein
Good evening!
I just built a brand new PC with the following specs...
i9 9900K
ASUS z390 Maximus Hero XI
32gb DDR4 3600
2TB m.2 SSD (FFXIV is on this drive)
10TB 5600 HDD
1080 FTW2 graphics card
Windows 10 PRO
Once I installed windows, updated windows, updated BIOS, and updated the graphics card drivers...I downloaded FFXIV and excitedly changed the settings to 4K at maximum settings...
Much to my dismay, I have been getting nothing but crashes with the game via directx11 errors (several of them), directx fatal errors, and kernel32.DLL errors
I have played this game since 1.0 and I've never had such issues. I'm getting to the point of simply quitting the game....which is a shame because I was wholeheartedly looking forward to playing this the way it was intended.
I've have delved into SEVERAL forums, tried many different things, including reinstalling the game, using DDU to wipe drivers from the graphics card and doing a fresh install of the drivers...I just cannot think of anything else!

Please help...I really want to keep playing this game!!
p.s. are there any known issues with running 4k/max settings with HDR display, free-sync, display port cables, anything like that?
p.s.s. a week ago, i played this using my old PC but the same graphics card
Thank you all so much in advance!
